Hello message board. This is my first post here. I am a Brooklynite. Have been riding my whole life & commute year round here in NYC. I also have been roadracing for 11 years out of Loudon, & more recently New Jersey. The recent snows have been annoying but the roads clear up pretty quick here.

Hey there, everybody knows me as Fish. I recently purchased my first ever bike, a 2001 Suzuki LS650 Savage with 3200 miles. I sold my 79 Cutlass to buy the Suzuki, so I will only be riding a bike, no more driving a car for now.

I just passed my MSF Basic RiderCourse this weekend and I'm happy as hell to join the world of motorcycling.
It's bike week here in sunny Daytona, I'm itching to get out there and ride.

I have already scoured the newbie information and I liked what I saw so much that I had to join these forums.

Welcome Fish.

I'll be spending some time in Ocala, off and on starting next week.

Have you considered what you willl do for transportation on days when the weather is nasty; that does happen is sunny
Florida on occasion.

Even at 60 degrees, you can get pretty darn cold riding down the street if you are soaking wet.

Hi everyone, I'm an Australian living in London, just started riding in June last year and am really enjoying it, wish I did it years ago!! I have a Suzuki Van Van 125 (not sure its released in the states) and I love it!! I'm sure the word slow was invented after its creation but it has such charm that I think I'll be taking it back to Aus when I leave.

Looking forward to reading through this great forum!

You can see my bike and a little of London here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbSbuRiHow4

I used to spend a lot of time in Ocala when I was dating a chick out there. SR40 is such a dull and entrancing drive in a car from Ormond to Ocala. It might be better on a bike.

I will not be able to afford to have a car again for another year most likely.
I'm going to have to invest is some rain gear, and cold weather gear. I am already well aware of this. I've been bicycling to work since early January, definitely ready to move up to a motorcycle.

Hi peeps. My name is Henry almsot 45 yrs old. Have owned about 35 quads, dirt bikes and street bikes in my lifetime.  Rode all the new open class sportbikes when they came out in the mid 80's up until 1990 and even the newset dirt bikes back in the most revolutionary era 1982 when all the bikes were going to liquid cooling and single shocks to mega suspension. I live in SLC, Utah and ride dunes on my quad mostly. The RM is more of a conversation piece. I only ride it a couple times a yr.

Current rides are an 06 Victory Jackpot, 06 heavily modded 700 Raptor, 82 fully restored RM250z
