It's killing me, bad weather, no ride on the new ZX-14R. Ouch! The scooter is not a good replacement.

Come up to Canada & you will not complain about lousy riding weather for most of us WINTERIZE our bikes at the end of October & do not expect to start riding till sometime in latter part of May or early June.  NO THERE IS A SHORT SEASON OF RIDING for us Cdns.

If you had a cage & tried to drive it like summertime then good chance you will go over one of the many banks, due to iced roads or might had an accident with another that is also not a SAFE/SLOW driver.

Remember once snow starts to show or a bit earlier THEN on with a set of additional SNOW TYRES & not the usless All Season tyres.

Remember all the others on the road are crazy & out to kill you.

Rub it in, need some salt? Got tons of that in Utah. When the weather clears, going to be wearing off some rubber in a proper fashion within the law.

Agree some of the States have been hit as well.  I notice on a Wash State TV news program someone was talking about normal tyres to snow tyres to other forms of drive & TRYING to get drivers to SLOW down.

Each time on the news in the evening the TV program in Kelowna is telling about this & that rolling over down a bank to something like 6 rolls, or landing in the ditch to also 18 wheelers are simply travelling TO CLOSE & driving to fast.  Now they are talking about blasting away some of the mountain sides so they can come up with a more boring (for us m/c riders) four way lane with few bends, for RIGHT now it is with continual turns to the left & right.

They did the same from Penticton to my small town & gone are the keen banks of clay & all the bends.  Now it is boring & so many feel the 100max KPH should be clocked at 150KPH.

Then a FEW years ago they started to do that to a mountain side north of here only suddenly part of the slide came down, unexpected like, & people could not get to Kelowna or Kelowna people could not get to Penticton.

Now this is a north using the lower portion for two & those going south use the higher two lane section.  YET some drunk was heading right onto north bound traffic to have an accident & claimed he was in the right, even though on the wrong traffic route.

Within the law, and propor fashion, is a contridiction in terms.   But...the ice remaining in spots, will keep the speed down.

On the bright side...Ya have the bike, so Ya won't be waiting to get it, when the roads are calling.

One downfall of SALT, not to mention sand to smaller gravel, is THAT YOUR BIKE SUFFER AS ALL IS HITING THE POWER PLANT TO FRAME & JUST SO MUCH MORE.

One chap on another board raved about almost riding in the weather of some snow. but after a while a loarge gob of iced up snow & salt was glued to the lower front of his bike and asked how to remove it----railing to realize that warm water is the answer.

Her must have done other damageds, for he never made a comment on that m/c board after.
