Coming back from Boise Id. I refueled the 14. At Wendell the cashier was freeked out with all the 1% crowds. The cops showed up and asked me how did things go. Answere was, I'm not with them.............. Not! A bullet bike with a bunch of Harleys, just doesn't fit. Anyway the state troopers did their job, busting speeders, and A** holes.

Doesn't sound like yer typical run-o-the-mill fuel stop! Glad you got out unscathed. Hope the rest of the trip was uneventful. Things can get weird on the road...

Maybe I'm just lucky, but so far I've never gotten grief from the 1% crowd... I remember pulling into a gas station in CO back in summer of '05, 107 degrees out, I'm in full gear, and the locals were like "what is wrong with you, are you nuts?"

The other riders are nodding and saying "on a bike like that, the gear's a good idea".

I think these days, even the hardcore biker gang types are cool with other riders, as long as those other riders aren't messing with /them/. I might (!) be an idealist, however.

Never had issue with the 1% crowd, then again a turbo ZX-14 for the highway is pure outlaw by any standards. Funny thing is that they know a turbo when they see one. Most suit/fake bikers (Harley riders, with tons of bucks), think the steering damper is power steering. They don't even know what size their motor is. It's sad when you play a game without a clue.

Riding a motorcycle is not a game. It's serious danger, the scooter sharpens my defensive skills, every biker should own one.

Ummm, Cashier know a 1%er when Cashier see's one? Or any pretend Bad Ass set the cashier off?

This scene at the Gas station, have anything to do with the Street Vibrations at Reno?  Last weekend?

San Jose Hells Angels chapter President was shot dead at a casino at Sparks Nevada,  And the Can't ride for s**t types had 84 crashes one being fatal during the event.  What a bunch of clowns.

I have a few petrol stations that I pull into & the owner or the head man will step out a bit & give me the wave meaning the pump in on for me.  I top up, then walk in & he has the figure there so use my debit card.  Sort of a bit of honestly & trust in each other.

I cannot remember all the ruddy numbers, plus my debit card personal number, I have to use SO in some cases I just have to say I am at #5 & need so much in 78 octane.  Fill up & sometimes go back for some money in the error in guessing which is a pain if you are riding a m/c OR even a cage for should you say to many smackers to fill up?????

I notice in this town with a lot of us older people we cannot remember all those darn mumbers so I am not the only one saying so much in fuel & then walking back to obtain the extra owed to us!!!!!!!

Remember all the others on the road are crazy & out to kill you.
