YOU'RE A JOKE. WHERE IN ANY OF THIS HAVE YOU HEARD ME TRY TO SELL SOMETHING? AND YES, I SAY YOU ARE A HATER.

ANYONE THAT GOES INTO FORUMS TO TRY TO BE AN ASS IS A HATER.

MAY THE FLEAS OF A THOUSAND CAMELS INFEST YOUR ARMPITS.

OH, AND I HAVE SEEN THE WEBSITE YOU POSTED AND THEY ARE NICE BIKES. I GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. ONLY DIFFERENCE IS I BUILD CHOPPERS. NOT CAFE.

TOO BAD YOUR HARDLY DEPENDABLE (HD) ISN'T. AN HOUR OF WRENCHING FOR AN HOUR OF RIDING.

AND IN RESPONSE TO YOUR ADVICE TO AN EARLIER COMMENT-"A Vision is not the bike for you. I've ridden several, and they are a handful at slow speeds.  Even compared to my old Goldwing 1800.Taking advice from a convicted felon like Ralph Hubert 'Sonny' Barger also is something I don't do... Pick better role models."- WHO ARE YOU TO GIVE ANY ADVICE?????

BUT GLAD TO SEE THAT YOU FEEL THE NEED TO GUIDE OTHER PEOPLES DECISIONS. HATER. TAKE SOME OF YOUR OWN ADVICE- AND PICK A BETTER ROLE MODEL THAN WHOM EVER TAUGHT YOU TO BE A FOOL..

BTW- WHERE IS YOUR WEBSITE? OR EVEN A PICTURE OF YOUR BIKE???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I seem to remember Sonny Barger saying the same thing about Honda's at one time. I think if there is any one thing the image-conscious type should take from him it is simply that it's stupid to be defined by the bike you ride, but rather how you define yourself... If that makes any sense anyways...

I beg to differ. You've replied 3 times in all caps stressing your anger. You've simply allowed a trivial comment to get your goat. Trust me, you are making it easy.

Yelling and expressing in incoherent ire doesn't make for a good rebuttal.

Tainted? By one person's comment? Come on man, get real. Seriously, how do you manage real life? It's one person's opinion. Hell even if it were two or more, so what. To reply in all caps on the internet is yelling. You are pissed off from mere words and you have the audacity to call another "weakminded". Seriously, do yourself a favor and relax. Your outburst is assisting the taint of this thread. I assume you'll allow my opinion to get your goat also, but I'm simply trying to ease you into a helpful site with many knowledgeable riders. Suit yourself, but if you are this easy online, I'd really hate to see what you're like in person.

Good luck.

Uhhh, Sonny Barger saying what?  What did he (alledgedly) say?

In his book, "Hell's Angel: The Life and Times of Sonny Barger and the Hell's Angels" on page 53...

"... In 1957, it was either ride a Harley or settle for a Triumph or BSA. They'd already stopped building Indians. It's always been important for Hell's Angels to ride American-made machines. In terms of pure workmanship, personally I don't like Harleys. I ride them because I'm in the club, and that's the image, but if I could I would seriously consider riding a Honda ST1100 or BMW. We really missed the boat not switching over to the Japanese models when they began building bigger bikes. I'll usually say, "F**** Harley-Davidson. You can buy an ST1100 and the motherf***** will do 110 miles per hour right from the factory all day long." The newest "rice rockets" can carry 140 horsepower to the rear wheel and can easily do 180 miles per hour right out of the box. While it's probably too late to switch over now, it would have been a nice move, because Japanese bikes today are so much cheaper and better built. However, Japanese motorcycles don't have as much personality."

I'm baffled. Why would anyone take a bike with already modest capabilities and turn it into something infinitely worse?

here we go.

Do people really buy Harleys for performance? nope. Harleys are good for what the buyer buys them for, personality. Interesting quote from Sonny Barger's book. Old harleys probably didn't do much better than 80 mph back in the day. I could probably understand his frustrations.

I was talking about that shocking creation in the pic that GAJ posted, not knocking HD's, jclax. I admit that Harleys don't float my boat and I'm never going to buy one if they keep making them in their present form, but loads of people do like them so I ain't going to knock them.
