ANYONE THAT GOES INTO FORUMS TO TRY TO BE AN ASS IS A HATER.
MAY THE FLEAS OF A THOUSAND CAMELS INFEST YOUR ARMPITS.
OH, AND I HAVE SEEN THE WEBSITE YOU POSTED AND THEY ARE NICE BIKES. I GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. ONLY DIFFERENCE IS I BUILD CHOPPERS. NOT CAFE.
TOO BAD YOUR HARDLY DEPENDABLE (HD) ISN'T. AN HOUR OF WRENCHING FOR AN HOUR OF RIDING.
AND IN RESPONSE TO YOUR ADVICE TO AN EARLIER COMMENT-"A Vision is not the bike for you. I've ridden several, and they are a handful at slow speeds. Even compared to my old Goldwing 1800.Taking advice from a convicted felon like Ralph Hubert 'Sonny' Barger also is something I don't do... Pick better role models."- WHO ARE YOU TO GIVE ANY ADVICE?????
BUT GLAD TO SEE THAT YOU FEEL THE NEED TO GUIDE OTHER PEOPLES DECISIONS. HATER. TAKE SOME OF YOUR OWN ADVICE- AND PICK A BETTER ROLE MODEL THAN WHOM EVER TAUGHT YOU TO BE A FOOL..

Tros said...I seem to remember Sonny Barger saying the same thing about Honda's at one time. I think if there is any one thing the image-conscious type should take from him it is simply that it's stupid to be defined by the bike you ride, but rather how you define yourself... If that makes any sense anyways...
Uhhh, Sonny Barger saying what? What did he (alledgedly) say?
In his book, "Hell's Angel: The Life and Times of Sonny Barger and the Hell's Angels" on page 53...
"... In 1957, it was either ride a Harley or settle for a Triumph or BSA. They'd already stopped building Indians. It's always been important for Hell's Angels to ride American-made machines. In terms of pure workmanship, personally I don't like Harleys. I ride them because I'm in the club, and that's the image, but if I could I would seriously consider riding a Honda ST1100 or BMW. We really missed the boat not switching over to the Japanese models when they began building bigger bikes. I'll usually say, "F**** Harley-Davidson. You can buy an ST1100 and the motherf***** will do 110 miles per hour right from the factory all day long." The newest "rice rockets" can carry 140 horsepower to the rear wheel and can easily do 180 miles per hour right out of the box. While it's probably too late to switch over now, it would have been a nice move, because Japanese bikes today are so much cheaper and better built. However, Japanese motorcycles don't have as much personality." 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 650R"People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost.""A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have". - Thomas Jefferson

here we go.
Do people really buy Harleys for performance? nope. Harleys are good for what the buyer buys them for, personality. Interesting quote from Sonny Barger's book. Old harleys probably didn't do much better than 80 mph back in the day. I could probably understand his frustrations. Ride Hard or Stay home

I admit that Harleys don't float my boat and I'm never going to buy one if they keep making them in their present form, but loads of people do like them so I ain't going to knock them.
