Give the guy credit though for one of the funniest lines I've read on here:

"MAY THE FLEAS OF A THOUSAND CAMELS INFEST YOUR ARMPITS."

You can be sure I will find the right time to use that one on my argumentative brother.

It's a gem. lol
When you do use it, make sure you are wearing a cape and say it with a dramatic flourish as you storm out of the room!

Your on the right track Desmo, However, in the San Francisco area, the Drama Queens take it farther.

Cape, Leather thong, and fishnet stockings, high heels, and a hair treatment, and jeweled glasses frame, colored lenses.
Something along those lines, gets the attention, to what is said. lol

hey hey hey......I own a pair of assless chaps. I am not gay (even though my wife says I look like a gay cowboy with them on). Ass-less chaps worn by manly men such as yours truly are cool. ROFL.

Hey man, glad you have a good sense of humor!

There is a lot of ribbing around here.

We still want a picture of Jclax in his assless chaps on his wife's 50cc scooter but for some reason he refuses!

He's a giant black guy who wears a silver salad bowl on his head for a helmet; it would be an internet sensation!

He'd be a star.

But yet he refuses.

Some people shy away from stardom I guess! lol

They have those in San Francisco as well.  I'd suspect that a video from the rear of the Gay Pride Parade would look like a stampede of butt cheeks. lol

Oh, thank God I didn't have to see THAT!

I turned off Market street one day (quickly, the wrong way down a one-way alley!) because I hit the Gay Pride parade coming at me head on.

Not something I'd wish to experience from either direction, thanks.

There's lots of other things one can say/do on a forum to irritate people, and you'll probably do a few more of them if you stick around. You'll get jumped for it too, so be prepared. It usually doesn't mean anything personal.  It's best to take the approach that you should ignore people when they get bent, because they'll eventually feel bad enough once they recover.

Some don't "recover" right off, and need "help", and some never do and need to be kicked, but most folks get along OK as long as we avoid direct insults.

Avoiding indirect insults is wise as well. ;-)

BTW, I checked out your shop, and I think the style you build is very nice. Lots of guys here won't like it, and it's not at all what they're looking for in a bike, but some will. That's about the best you can hope for in life anyhow.

I chopped some bikes back in the day when you usually did it because the bike was crashed, so it was an excuse to hack off all the damaged stuff, and anything else that would lighten the bike in the process. Maybe the engine got transplanted to another frame, or it got hardtailed. They were never high-dollar bikes. All of them were Jap bikes. It was a lot of fun.

Yeah, rich guys want to show off on their $60,000 chromed showboats here too, but that's not how chopping started. That's not where the roots of it lie. What you're doing is far closer to the original soul of the whole business before it became all about business.

It doesn't have to be a Harley to be fun. It doesn't have to be chrome plated to be cool. It's about doing the best you can with what you've got. That is a very American thing. That is pure Americana--no matter where the engine came from.

Oh my gosh you accidently turned into a GAY parade Cadd.  I think you know I am supper straight so I do not know what I would have done other then tried to close my eyes & plug my ears of the noise or whatever. Probably hope I did not throw up.

Some yrs ago I was working on some of the bikes in the showroom & just barely noticed this woman in a one piece dress.  THEN in a deep voice comes something like "Do you have a shop manual on a Yamaha FZ-750 I could rent?".  That had me turn to look at said deep voice & it was a guy dressed like a woman.

Well what do you do, when one of those running a shop?  I did say I have one, but I do not rent or loan it out.  This whatever it was,  turned to me saying someing like "I know you for I pick up garbage from your place & have seen some of your bikes when you were working on them".

So with warning I loaned IT the manual with knowledge the work would take around a month.  Around a month later he or whatever spoke to me in my driveway & said if it was ok he would need another 2 weeks.

Yes two weeks later said manual was returned to me when IT was at our shop with the women's clothing on.

Yes Lou this has turned into a very strange world.  I darn well know when I was just a kid starting to grow up in the big Depression to even my teens to finally into 20s & such I had never seen such crazy things going on in our world.

Remember all the others on the road are crazy & out to kill you.

I'm sure Halford has been to more than a few gay pride parades.

No, actually I was going straight for miles, and they were marching straight the other way.

(OK, folks, I know they weren't "straight".)

So I didn't actually turn into them. I was just driving along looking for a particular street in an unfamilliar town. (Just how unfamilliar I was soon to find out!)

What I noticed first was that it was only like 4:30 PM and the shopkeepers were all running outside & pulling down their iron bars and shutters, and then a little fatrther along there were MC police all along the curbsides, then suddenly I saw the big banners and marchers coming right at me in the strangest collection of clothing you ever saw on man or woman.

Well I immediately took the next turn! My wife was yelling at me by that point, "OMG! You're going the wrong way on a one-way street!"

I told her, "Well, we're not going BACK THERE!" and continued on without incident.

Later that night we saw the same marchers on the TV, but fortunately the camera didn't carch me squeeling rubber around the "wrong-way" sign on the corner.

I´m not a geat fan of antisocial people like the Hells Angels, but Sonny Barger is not somebody to sneer at when it comes to motorcycles. I remember reading he does around 50.000 miles a year on his bikes and has been doing that pretty much all his "career" (when he wasn´t locked up, that is), and he used to build all of his own bikes from scratch.

P.S I always thought the phrase was : "May Allah let the fleas of a thousand camels infest your crotch and your arms be too short to scratch." turn
