I rarely ever see anything from Yamaha at trackdays.. But you can find them at the local squid hang out.. Guess this is one of the reasons why I pass up Yamaha and Suzsucki when shopping for a new ride.. | | Back to Top

Fast as all hell but the throttle response is very touchy and the suspension needed tons of tweaking for the track. I can't wait to see the new CBR 600rr. Tons of motor tweaks and radial brakes for 05! As for Suzuki well They are ugly as sin and they look like they where built from an Erector set. | | Back to Top

PLUS, if you bought a 636 and ever want to race the AMA 600 Sport Bike Class... you might get a favorable trade-in on an R6. ALSO, for those who claim all the "squids" will have one, let me guess... your rainy day ride is a Camaro, Firebird or Mustang. This thing is not a "me too" ride even straight out of the box. Absolutely stock, I did a 100+mph in the 1/8 mile and an ET into the high 10's in the 1/4 mile! My suggestion to clear the gene pool of "me too squids"... GYT-R V-stacks, TiForce full exhast, K&N air filter and DynoJet Power Commander PCIIIUSB with Quick Shifter Assembly. THEN, you could do a tail light integrator, flush mount front turn-signals, race cowl, crash kit (frame sliders, bar ends and spools) and a CF windscreen for your race # so it looks just as fast in the pits as it does on the track. Regardless, on the highway... it's a blurr. I don't do "cruise nights" or "hang-outs". I'd rather be racing! Just my 2 cents.
