BTW, who says you can't stand up on a cruiser? Here I am, standing on the boards, riding through the Tunnel Log in the Sequoia Nat. monument.

Cadd,

try doing that on a forward control cruiser w/o a windshield while going 80-90mph and you'll see what i mean. yes, it can still be done (i've tried it) but, it's alot more difficult than on a standard or a sportbike due to where the feet are positioned so it wasn't a good move for me when trying to stand up on my old cruisers. you might be just fine though???

Yeah, but every now and then I gotta get my butt offa that seat & let the boys breathe a bit. LOL

BTW, I did stand up on the boards today on the freeway going about 80 MPH.

It was possible but difficult, and would be easier if I could put both feet farther back to the rear of the floorboards. Unfortunately the heel shifter makes it impossible.

I never use the dang thing, so I should just ditch it.

Now if I put the rear boards down and stand on them I can lean forward quite a bit, and though I stand butt-higher than optimal. it does work even at high speed. Just don't expect to use the rear brake. blush
Also, when riding the twisties I find myself hanging off when I don't actually need to, just to air out the butt one cheek at a time.

:-)

bravo Cadd, imagine doing it w/o the windshield. i did it on my old no windshield v-star classic's floor board on the freeway and it's not worth trying it the second time around...could just me though.
