It was short, but damn was it sweet. We had a brief interlude with this Italian 450 at the Olympia round of WORCS racing. Read the Report.

Very interesting report. I love reading about the off-brands!  I could relate with your Ramblings-man when he was looking for Cannondales and other rare brands.
That TM is a great looking bike. Too bad they're so hard to come by.

Glad to see the great writeup on the TM.  We love ours (after we sorted the too-rich jetting out and got the suspension dialed in).  it's been dead reliable.  I hope they can get a foothold in the US.  Just wish there were more dealers available.  You're right, after you get over that initial sticker shock, it's not bad, we haven't had to add anything to the the bike...it's got it all already!!!

Reports from the TM importer say that the sales for this past year have been exploding in relation to the previous few. That means they're getting a stronger foothold in America every day. I too would like to see more of these machines at the races because not only are they really trick, but they're competent as well. Do you have a photo or two you could post? It would be nice to see some more of these things in action.

I have recently purchased a TM 450 Enduro (first in Papua New Guinea).
Power is excellent, dragging off Honda CRF 450; Yamaha 450 WR & KTM 525.
The speedo is a bit of a let down as the bike comes with excellent gear but that.
Exhaust is too quiet (Gianlli) & now looking to replace it. (any recommendations, not really worried about noise)
As well still sorting the Ohlins suspension.
