Harley-Davidson released its newest lineup of top-shelf motorcycles that includes the return of an old favorite, the CVO Road Glide and the debut of a newcomer, the CVO Fat Bob. Check out the 2009 Harley-Davidson CVO lineup.

nice review...since the cvo are hd's performance focus cruisers, we'll see how well the 09s' stack up against it's competitors.  for me and some others, i'm sure the big price gap will come into play when evaluating the giant traditional style v-twins and their performance capabilities.   imo, the new v-max is over priced but it's not even in the same ball park as the cvo in terms of over priced machines.

Not my style, or my price range, but they are gorgeous looking vehicles and a steal compared to the OCC junk.

But, I cringe any time I see an HD with solid wheels; there are so many things wrong with that concept it ain't funny.

Man 110+ lb/ft of torque has GOT to be fun.

Just curious, can anyone tell me how these stack up against the Star Liner series? Acceleration, handling, comfort. Price wise the Star is the obvious winner but the Motor Company sure does make a pretty bike.

Maybe it's the color scheme, but that Fat Bob if FUGLY!

The rest just look like any other Harley.

Sooner or later opinions fade, and the name on the tank matters not. I think that happens somewhere between 4th and 5th gear. Enjoy the ride... the rest takes care of itself.

Yup, and for $7k less you can buy as many Victory Hammers as you want (not a limited edition, in other words) with just as much power and better handling. Or buy the Vic, spend the $7k on upgrading the engine to 110 inches and a few other mods to get you about 135 HP, and enjoy the looks of terror from the Harley types. scool skull Just my $.02.

Of liberty I would say that, in the whole plenitude of its extent, it is unobstructed action according to our will. But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual.  -  Thomas Jefferson

Fit/finish Harley rules (I've compared the two and Harley paint and chrome is much much nicer than on any Japanese bikes).  Acceleration/handling the Raider/Liner series stomp on the Harleys.
Comfort? Depends on individual preferences.

The HD's in my riding club can handle the rides we go on just fine. For the last freakin' time, it's not the bike. It's the rider.

Totally.  I have track bikes, and enjoy the H-D on the mountain roads/canyons.  Anyone not thinking the H-D can corner can tell that to the sportbike squids I hang with in the canyons and then torque by coming out of the curves (when the coast is clear).

Thats one nice ride there. I am not a fan of the harleys, but your ride is definitly sweet looking. corning at our level (street bike riders) is really a product of the rider moreso than the machine and a product of how comfortable each rider is with thier motorcycle.

I've seen Sfarson's pic of his SVO before, (I believe he also owns BMW's and Ducati's).

Really, really beautiful and goes a long way to explain the allure of Harley's for so many.

I may never own a Harley but that is one gorgeous motorcycle...even the two backrests look "right."

We got to tour the CVO plant in York last weekend. I feel in love with the Softtail Springer. It is awesome. I don't know why they didn't put a good pic of that one up. Too bad I don't have $26,000 laying around.

Nice review.

I like the CVO bikes, but the prices are out of reach for most.

Harley should allow customers to order factory customized bikes built around the Screamin' Eagle Twin Cam 110. The CVO program is nice, but some of the parts Harley selects from its P&A catalog are superfluous. Not everyone wants a chrome voltage regulator cover, you know. Customers should have the opportunity to specify only the parts and accessories they want.

I'm sure Harley dealers would kick and scream over lost revenue; however, customers would save money because they wouldn't be stuck with a pile of take-off parts after buying a new bike. I believe Victory has a custom order program.
