When BMW introduced its S1000RR sportbike in the fall of ’09 it instantly became the benchmark in the ultra-competitive Superbike class. Considering its prodigious level of performance engineers could have very well left it alone for 2012. Instead they bestowed it with its first technical update. The enhancements are intended to make it a friendlier and more effective racetrack weapon.

Yep, sounds like a good update. It does sound like Aprilia still has the best anti-wheelie (most smooth that is). The R1's anti-wheelie is its heavy engine lol (that and the right wrist in 1st gear...other gears...ehh...don't count on it too much).

Humm, "inhancements meant to make it a friendlier more effective racetrack weapon" will of course be misconstrued through the filter of the doesn't know squat brain of the general public...to come out...

That will work for me..and BMW marketing knows it, the stampede to the Dealership counts on it.
