Hey - This is Sturgis folks - are the only people who care on the way there or what?

Billy - Just stay alive and look out for cellulite riddled butt-cheeks... shoot for the tighties like that babe on HD trying to ride away from you as fats as she can --- Ken

I've never been there and nobody has ever told me how badass it was enough to make me really want to go there. From what I've gathered from various sources is that the scenery is great, and the ride to and from there is fun; But I've also heard it's mega packed there, and traffic can be a pita. I know I'll go there eventually just to say "been there, done that," but thats about the only reason I can see of going right now.

Keep the pictures and stories rolling. I want to see what I'm missing out on.

I was watching ESPN SportsCenter last night and Kenny Mayne is in Sturgis. They were doing their 50 states in 50 days and the highlight of South Dakota was the Sturgis Rally. The temporary set looked to be downtown with Mayne dressed up in his monkey suit amongst the bikers. Pretty cool that a mainstream media outlet like ESPN recognizes the popularity of Sturgis.

Traffic is only a pain if you don't have a map, and you're into playing by the "rules." I can get anywhere around town in like 10 minutes max by taking back streets and avoiding the clusterf***s. Or, for another example, there was a line coming out of Rapid City HD with guys lines up about 100+ deep in the left run lane, and nobody on the right. So I make a right, make the first right into a parking lot, then turn left... nobody else was doing this.

And the same goes for everywhere, they actually like to sit in traffic. I bet if RevLoc or Recluse made an auto clutch for Harleys (like their dirt bike models) they'd clean up. I don't know about these guys, but my hand gets tired working the clutch to go like 5mph for 15 feet at a time.

For those of you who asked. The guy who crashed on the second day of my trip, Art, is still in a coma, but his vitals are improving. They're talking about moving him to a hospital closer to home, in Riverside, CA. He's been in Salt Lake City this whole time.
