Track schools are great, and Spencer's is supposed to be one of the best.

What WERE the main things learned that improved your riding? That's not pointed out in the article.

I remember taking CLASS and the California Superbike schools and what I learned most at both those schools was just how FAR you can lean a bike; at the CLASS school I learned that even a bias ply tire can go way over on my old BMW and at the Cal S'bike school I learned that radials on the 600cc school bikes lean even farther than that. Really a key to being able to ride even safer on the street; and the track is a great place to learn those limits with instruction and feedback.

The biggest memory of ANY track school was when Bob Bondurant was teaching out here at Sears Point before he moved his school, (to Arizona I think). While that was a car school the biggest memory was being taken out onto the track in the van to learn the lines...they were four wheel drifting that damned top heavy thing around the track with 10 of us in it and laughing like hell as they did it! We were scared sh*tless.

Vehicles can do amazing things if you know how!

Oh, and at all those schools I also realized there are tons of people faster than me.

The primary aspects that I took away from Freddie's school was proper body position, braking technique and using the entire width of the racetrack to your advantage. I'm really stoked on the school and hope to go back to the 2day pro school in the future...

Of any $$ spent on my bikes or cars, the most bang for the buck is the kind of training you just enjoyed.

Truly time well spent and any auto enthusiast or bike enthusiast is remiss in not taking advantage of the wealth of opportunities available to improve themselves and just have an absolute TON of fun at the same time at these schools...all of which seem to be run with a very high degree of professionalism due to the tremendous responsibility inherent in this type of endeavour.

People often ask what they can buy to make their vehicle "faster" or "perform better" without even considering that THEY are usually the main limiting factor.
