I'm not that young but i'm not old either. All in your state of mind. I think anyone who rides is young at heart no matter what age they are. If you start up your bike and get excited every time then to me you will always be young at heart. If addons get you pumped, go for it. If it happens to be something else, by all means grab the reins and go.

I'm looking forward to your comments on the Corbin and I am also looking forward to Soapster's comments on the suspension upgrade to his R1.

Hoping you're both tickled to death.

Nothing better than an upgrade that improves the ride; either through comfort or performance.

No doubt :)

I will admit besides the fender being an eyesore to me, it didn't help whenever I'd stop and see the shadow of my rear turn signals (lollipops) flopping from the vibrations of the engine lol

Soap, I caught myself looking at the shadow of my bike when I brought it home. Same thing I thought. Didn't vibrate that much but the overall shadow was like shakehead .

Nice 3 hour ride today. After being on the bike that long (yes,I took breaks) the seat is definitely getting replaced. I didn't know if I would have a chance to ride like that with it being November but I did. I am going to try to post some pics of Southern Utah.

So much for the pictures. They are to big to download. Anyone wanting to see them, PM me and I give you my Facebook name. They are posted there.

Get a Flickr account. They will allow you to link resized versions. Also, you can use software like GIMP for free to manipulate/resize your pictures.

And woah on the seat. I spent about 8 hours out on my R1 (with a meal stop in there) and I was feelin' fine. My GSX-R750 had a great seat, too. Then again, my CBR's seat was a$$.

There's a forum that has people with Z's and that's the first thing I heard was about the seat. I took a break after about an hour or so but the padding is bad. I made it but it didn't feel good. I wish I had the seat or something like it off the Sporster. That was a comfortable seat. I e-mailed Corbin and they said the only thing I have to do to get the gel seat to go on was take the 2 tabs off the stock seat and put it on theirs. Yamaha makes some decent seats. My R6S had a pretty good seat. I could ride on that for quite a while.

The most comfy bike for me is a Harley, just hate the lack of power. So mod the 14 for me seems to be the only answer. Haven't rode the rice cruisers because I keep the bikes for decades.

Not that it helps but the [edit] stock [/edit] seat on my 636 is rather comfortable for a sport bike. Certainly much better than my prior '93 gixxer.

The seat on my 10 is as hard as a plank.

They probably copied the seats and thought "let's stick them on the ZX-10 and the Z1000."
Not to fun to ride on a seat like that. Now that I think of it, The Vulcan 900 had a s**tty seat too.

Gee, This is so, not understandable. My ZX-10 seat isn't hard as a plank (I guess I lucked out on Year choice).

I suppose it's possible that the project engineer for the 05 had a tender ass, and then he was replaced by a numb ass engineer.

Chaos, if you have the current generation 10, I agree with you 100%. The Kawa was least comfortable for me because of its dimensions (how my body was positioned on the bike), and then of course, the seat felt like I was sitting on a basketball or something. All the other literbike seats are snuggle-your-butt-soft. Hell, the new ZX-6R's seat is a lot more comfy than the 10's.
