Your are right Lou about paying attention & RDs bit about not aiming is a bit of fun to make sense of.

Since the cellular phone to that do-dade the people keep on pressing for letters, is banned & will be so, in a while here in B.C., the person was talking about 100% concentration to even using my bit of saying 110% concentration if one can think of it.  Since he is only talking about Cage drivers then guess what he would say about concentration when riding a m/c is a semi-defense mod???

Mind you when some Govt authority is talking about safety he would probably BAN m/c riding for we all know those types of so called people.

Remember all the others on the road are crazy & out to kill you.

Right on all counts Smitty :-)

Something seems to have changed.  Maybe it's just my perception, but....when I was little, it seemed like everyone drove like that was what they were doing, had their eyes and mind on that.

Then....cars got serious power, and guys that were old enough to have the money (Or backing) and the desire for them, had them. But still very rarely a problem.

Then multi tasking people came on the scene and driving was just one of the things being done, behind the wheel.

Then the Telephone arrived inside the car...................skull

Aiming is just another word for looking where you wanna go - something many particularly newbies don't even know, slow speed, high speed - aiming will help.

Yep, the telephone arrived in the car, with all it's "like drunk" effect.

Yep, Aiming, and reading the crash and near crash accounts on Motorcycle sites...include street riders of all years of riding.  The riders that just Aim on the width of a traffic lane (and some can't stay within that).

A racer has narrow target, Says...Pick a line....  Street riders should as well, so they can pick a line that avoids the patch of gravel or pot hole, or vehicle that is in the wrong place doing the wrong thing, Whatever.

I've seen so many bikers crash because they were braking, and looking at the thing that they didn't want to hit, and...hit it.  If they would of just looked at the clear space (Aim) and turn (not braking) to that clear space, they would of been fine.

So true, and not only racers.
